Flooding: Prayer Needed ASAP

Candi & I would like to request your prayers, for ourselves but mostly for our downstairs neighbors.

A tremendous storm came through yesterday afternoon and produced flooding in various places throughout downtown Lewiston and Clarkston. You can see the above picture on the Lewiston Morning Tribune's front page — our house is actually shown in the background (it's the dark bluish gray one).

Candi & I live in the upstairs apartment and were'nt damaged by the flood, but our dowstairs neighbors, a young couple and their little girl of about 2, lost just about everything. They had 2 feet of standing water from front to back of their apartment.

Please pray for Ben & Shasta and their little girl, that God will lift them up and show them a way out of all of this, and that our landlord will step up to the plate and finally do what has to be done to fix this problem for good. While floods like this are rare in Lewiston, they are not unheard of and our landlord and property management agency have failed completely to take steps to prevent this from happening despite repeated warnings and repeated instances of minor flooding.

Our duplex is presently for sale, which should explain a lot.

The only way we are affected is that our power is off and must remain off until all the water is cleaned up. That's a minor inconvenience compared to what Ben & Shasta are going through.
